Creativity is transcendent; it is also, paradoxically immanent– something science can help. The enterprise, while fraught, is full of promise. Problems with creativity cause individual suffering and economic hardship. and on a global level, the number of threats facing the world over the next hundred years mean that greatly increasing human creativity may be necessary for our survival.
